A speculative architecture project highlighting dreamy yet often intentionally designed and monitored “natural” spaces. The most beautiful natural areas we visit are often also the most highly edited and planned landscapes, providing an artificial, curated experience. I simply find this facet of contemporary land use noteworthy. Stylized growth patterning is created by distributing particle systems according to procedurally generated and manually manipulated textures.

“Courtly check” is the name of a hand-painted checkerboard pattern finish popular in products by home décor manufacturer MacKenzie-Childs.
